Linda D. Richard

FITCHBURG- Linda D. (Girard) Richard, 70, of Fitchburg, died unexpectedly, Tuesday, December 25. Linda was born January 29, 1948, in Fitchburg, daughter of the late Ralph and Rita (LeBlanc) Girard and has lived in Fitchburg all her life. She was a loving mother, mother-in-law, and grandmother and family was her priority. Her favorite place was Ocean Park, Maine. She will be greatly missed by her dog, Bella. Linda retired this last September after working 24 years for Laddawn Manufacturing. Her husband, David C. Richard, died in 1996. She was also predeceased by her brother, Ronald Girard. She leaves her daughter and son in law, Karen and Brian Davis of Fitchburg; her son and daughter in law, Craig and Sarah Richard of Fitchburg; three grandchildren, Allison Stateler and her husband, Chad, Brandon Davis and his significant other, Lauren Wade, and Dax Richard, all of Fitchburg: several nieces and nephews. The calling hours will be be held Friday, December 28, from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. at Simard Funeral Home, 14 Walker St., Leominster. The funeral will be held Saturday at 11:00 A.M. at Simard Funeral Home. Burial will be private in St. Joseph Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Linda’s memory to the Gardner Animal Shelter, 899 West Broadway, Gardner, MA 01440.
