Linda Marilyn Stoddard

June 30, 1943 — July 22, 2024

Gardner, MA

Linda Marilyn Stoddard, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and a pillar of the Gardner community, passed away on July 22, 2024. Born on June 30, 1943, in Templeton, Massachusetts, Linda lived a life full of love, compassion, and dedication to those around her. Her thoughtful and supportive nature was a light in the lives of many, and her spirit will continue in those who were fortunate enough to have known her.

Linda loved teaching young children and spent her professional career as a Teacher's Aide in the field of special education. In her leisure time, Linda found joy in creative endeavors like basket making. She loved playing tennis, vacationing in Kennebunkport and spending time with friends and family, including her sisters Janice, Nancy, and Paula and brothers Chunky and Mark. Like all aspects of her life, these were done with a passion that was very much characteristic of her. Despite the loss of her mother at a young age, Linda's resilience and strength never wavered. “As is a tale, so is a life: Not how long it is, but how good it is, is what matters.” – Seneca. Linda embodied this sentiment, transforming the challenges she faced into opportunities to grow and inspire others.

Linda is survived by her loving husband, Don Stoddard, her daughters Jill and Kim Stoddard, her son Don Jr., and her granddaughter Katelyn Stoddard. She is preceded in death by her parents Robert and Louisa Brown.
