Athol – Lisa Marie (Maillet) Dupuis, 55, of 379 West Royalston Road died Monday, June 16, 2014 at her home surrounded by her loving family
Lisa was born in Athol, MA February 6, 1959, the daughter of Gerard J. and Theresa M. (Dugan) Maillet. She grew up in Athol and has lived in the Athol-Orange area most of her life, graduating from Ralph C. Mahar Regional High School in 1977.
Lisa always was a hard worker having worked at the L.S. Starrett Company, Simplex Corporation, North Central of Gardner, Templeton Development Center, Athol Granite Works, New Salem General Store for many years, was a caregiver helping many people, Bill’s Meat Market, Pete’s Tire Barn and Tully Brook Apartments where she and her husband did cleaning and painting. She also operated her own cleaning business for several years.
Lisa enjoyed sewing, all types of crafting, did custom crocheting, including special towels and purses. She and her husband enjoyed taking vacations in recent years and most especially enjoyed spending time with her family.
She leaves her husband of 24 years, Ronald J. Dupuis; three sons, Jeremy J. Duhaime and his friend Veronica Rathburn of Warwick, Jamie J. Dupuis and his wife Rachel of Oahu Island, HI and Michael Shawn Dupuis and his wife Shawna of Pensacola, FL; four grandchildren, Lily and Bennett Dupuis, Travis Rathburn and Michael Joseph Dupuis and her father, Gerard J. Maillet of Gardner. She also leaves a brother, Rene’ Maillet of Athol and a sister, Cheryl Moriarty and her husband Ed of Bacaville, CA. She was predeceased by her mother Theresa and a brother Carlton Maillet.
A Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady Immaculate Church, 192 School Street, Athol with the Rev. Fr. Krzysztof Korcz, pastor officiating. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made in Lisa’s name to the Gardner VNA Hospice Program, 34 Pearly Lane, Gardner, MA 01440.
