LANCASTER-----Lorraine T.( Bedard ) Lucier 81 of Lancaster died Saturday February 4,2012,surrounded by her family, in Autumn Village in Worcester after a long illness.
She was born August 3, 1930 in Fitchburg MA the daughter of the late Frederick and Artimise (Boucher) Bedard.
She leaves her husband of 60 years, Bernard O. Lucier her two daughters, Cynthia L. Brockelman and her husband David and Kathy M. Quigley and her husband Ernest both of Lancaster MA.; four grandchildren, Michael Brockelman, Mathew Brockelman, Adam Quigley and Erin Quigley and three great grandchildren Cynthia Brockelman, Sabrina Walker and Quinn Walker.
Four brothers, Fredrick, Robert, Gilbert and Albert and Two sisters Pauline Hopkins and Doris Croteau predeceased her.
Lorraine grew up in Fitchburg and after getting married she moved to Leominster, then Lancaster and later to North Carolina. After retirement she and her husband lived six months in Florida and six months in Templeton MA. She worked for many years at the former Foster grant Co in Leominster and was a member of St Cecilia’s Church in Leominster and the Templeton Fish and Game Club. She enjoyed dancing and traveling and had a real zest for life.
Lorraine’s funeral will be held on Wednesday February 8,2012 from Simard Funeral Home 14 Walker St Leominster with a 10am Mass of Christian Burial in St Cecilia’s Church 180 Mechanic St Leominster. Burial will follow in St Cecilia’s Cemetery.
Calling hours in the funeral home are Tuesday evening February 7, 2012 are from 5pm-7pm.
