ATHOL — Lorraine (Roussel) Warren, 98, of 763 Lenox Street, Athol, died Thursday April 19, 2018, in the Quabbin Valley Healthcare, Athol, MA.
Lorraine was born in Shippagan, NB Canada on September 1, 1919, the daughter of the late Peter Martin and the late Marieann (Hebert) Roussel.
Lorraine was an avid believer of walking and exercising daily. She was a member of the Athol YMCA and the Bonita Springs Community Center, where she took part in numerous programs over the years, such as a Line Dancing, Zumba classes, dance aerobics and swimming. Lorraine enjoyed spending time at the library learning how to use the computer and surfing the internet. Over the years she enjoyed taking evening classes at the Athol High in furniture refinishing, upholstering and rug braiding.
Lorraine spoke French fluently and loved her French heritage. She also loved going to Bonita Springs, Florida, every winter and did so for 35+ years. She was healthy and happy and drove her own big Buick till she was 97 years old.
She was a member of the Bonita Beach Birds, which was a group of women who, with their elaborately decorated hats and kazoos, would visit nursing homes each week to entertain the residents with their music.
She leaves one daughter; Jeanne Rowe and her husband Fred of Naples, FL and three sons; Robert (Bob) Warren of Shelburne, MA, William (Bill) Warren and his wife Veronica of Athol, MA and John Warren and his wife Sally of Mt. Pleasant, SC, eight grandchildren; Frederick D. Rowe III and his wife Leanne, Daniel W. Rowe and his wife Melanie, Michael L. Rowe and his wife Adrianne, Eric Warren, Vanessa Warren, Brandon Warren, Parker Warren, Annie Jane Warren; seven great grandchildren; Ambra Maymon, Cassie Warren, Meredith Rowe, Alexandra Rowe, Nathaniel Rowe, Ryan Rowe, Trent Rowe, and a sister-in-law Irene Roussel.
Lorraine was predeceased by her husband, Addison Warren, of 67 years.

Calling hours will be held Friday, June 8, 2018 from 5-7PM at the Fiske Murphy & Mack Funeral Home, 110 New Athol Rd, Orange, MA.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, June 9, 2018 at 10:00 am in the Our Lady Immaculate Church, 192 School St. Burial will follow in Silver Lake Cemetery - Athol, MA. A reception will follow at the King Phillip Restaurant, 35 State Rd., Phillipston, MA
