LEOMINSTER- Louis R. Bilodeau, 82, of Leominster, died Tuesday, February 9, in his home, after an illness.
Mr. Bilodeau was born October 25, 1933, in Leominster, son of the late Alphonse and Cecile (St. Jean) Bilodeau and has lived in Leominster all of his life. He graduated from Leominster Trade School and was a truck driver for Shepard’s Express until his retirement in 1996. Mr. Bilodeau was an avid gardener who took pride in his flowers, vegetables, and fruit trees. He also enjoyed fishing in his younger years.
He leaves his wife of 44 years, Barbara N. (Franklin) Bilodeau; two sons, Mark E. Bilodeau of Newburyport, and David L. Bilodeau of Mashpee; six daughters, Deborah A. Chase of Gardner, Susan L. Tougas and her husband, Thomas of Hudson, NH, Gail C. Bilodeau of Lancaster, Mary E. Midgley of Tyngsboro, Lisa Brooks of Gardner, and Wendy Lou McCullough of Gardner; one sister, Jean R. Morel of Leominster; nine grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews including, Daniel Morel and Rhonda Siciliano; many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Calling hours are Monday, February 15, from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. in Simard Funeral Home, 14 Walker St., Leominster.
The funeral will be held Tuesday, February 16, at 10:00 A.M. in Simard Funeral Home.
Burial will follow in St. Cecilia’s Cemetery.
