ATHOL - Louis V. LeBlanc, 48 of 1895 Petersham Rd., Athol, died Monday, February 4, 2013 in the UMass Memorial Medical Center, Worcester, surrounded by his family and friends.
He was born in Gardner, on October 15, 1964, the son of Donald and Beatrice (D'Ambrose) LeBlanc.
He grew up in Gardner and Clinton and attended Gardner High School. He worked in the maintenance departments at Gardner Manor Nursing Home, Poet's Seat Nursing Home and Quabbin Valley Healthcare. His first job was at the Pleasant House of Pizza. He was a communicant of Our Lady Immaculate Church. Louie enjoyed watching movies, playing cards and playing his guitar. He played in local bands over the years. He loved playing games with his girls and spending time with his family. He was known for being a jokester and was always cheerful. He had a heart of gold.
He leaves his wife of 17 years: Elaine M.(Magnuson) LeBlanc; three daughters: Robin LeBlanc and Amanda LeBlanc of Athol and Sarah Belliveau of Fitchburg; his parents: Donald and Beatrice LeBlanc of Gardner; four sisters: Lydia Montville of Gardner, Louise Fitzwater of NC, Lorraine Nelson of Templeton, Lisa Morton of Baldwinville; two grandchildren: Maliyah and Jasmine, and many beloved nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Monday, February 11, 2013 at 10:00 am in the Our Lady Immaculate Church, 192 School St., Athol, MA. Burial will follow in Gethsemane Cemetery, Fielding Way, Athol.
Calling hours will be held Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Fiske-Murphy & Mack Funeral Home, 110 New Athol Rd., Orange.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made in his memory to Our Lady Immaculate Church Building Fund, 192 School St., Athol, MA 01331.
