Louise C. Breen of Gardner, 89, passed away on November 19, 2016 with family at her side.
Louise was born in Gardner, Mass on May 2, 1927, the daughter of William P. and Nellie R. Cosentino.
She would be remembered most as owner and proprietor of Fran’s Variety on West St. in Gardner for many years. She was a seamstress and cutter at many of the manufacturing companies in the Gardner area, she also worked for Star Container in Leominster where she retired.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was an avid BINGO and SkipBo player and spent the rest of her waking hours crocheting beautiful tablecloths, afghans, doilies, and baby-sets. She especially enjoyed creating crafts and donating them to the different church fairs. She will always be remembered for her kindness and generosity.
She leaves a daughter, Yvonne Breen and her significant other Gary Carpenter of Gardner; a son Stephen Breen and his wife, Colleen of Latham, NY; three sisters, Pearl A. Conlan of Gardner, Bernadette Canu and her husband, Nino and Teresa Cosentino of Delray Beach, FL; two brothers, Patrick F. and Anthony C. and his wife, Diane of Templeton; her brother-in-law, Larry Agnelli of Gardner; six grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and her former daughter-in-law, Carlene Breen of Gardner. Louise is also survived by many many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was pre-deceased by three sisters, Rosaline Pierce, Annette Cosentino, and Laura Agnelli, and six brothers, William, Jr., Raymond, John, Joseph, Paul Sr., and Francis.
Calling hours will be held Wednesday, November 23, from 9:00 to 11:00 AM with the funeral following at 11:00 AM in Lamoureux-Fletcher & Smith Funeral Home, 105 Central St., Gardner. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery.
