Louise C. Gallant

GARDNER - Louise C. (Lore) Gallant, 97 of Gardner, died Friday, August 2, 2019 in the Wachusett Manor Nursing Home, Gardner, MA She was born in Gardner, on October 8, 1921, the daughter of the late Carlo and the late Lucy (Vinzi) Lore. Louise graduated from Gardner High School with the class of 1940. Louise and her husband, Neri J. Gallant got married on the same day as her sister Frances Horrigan who married Thomas Horrigan in a joint wedding on May 30, 1949. She lived in West Covina, California for 40 years and did volunteer work at the local hospital there. She returned to Gardner in October of 1992. Louise enjoyed her home and was an excellent cook. She leaves one brother, Michael W. Lore of Gardner; one sister, Frances Horrigan of Winchendon; her niece and caregiver, Carla Wojtukiewicz of Gardner and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of 42 years, Neri J. Gallant who passed in 1991; three brothers, Martin Lore, Anthony Lore, Phillip Lore and by five sisters, Lucy V. Amadon, Dolores Wetmore, Angelina M. Belanger, Mary Oliva and Sophie Melanson. Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 10, 2019 at 11:00 am in the Mack Family Funeral Home, 105 Central St., Gardner. Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery, Gardner. Calling hours will be held Saturday from 9:30 - 11:00 am at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made in her memory to Broadview Assisted Living - Activity Fund, 547 Central St., Winchendon, MA 01475.
