It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Louise, who left us on Wednesday, February 19th, just shy of her 99th birthday. The youngest of 13 children, Louise was the cherished wife of Harold “Harry” Richards, who predeceased her after 63 years of marriage. During World War II, Louise began her working life folding parachutes, marking the start of a life filled with dedication and creativity. She was an avid knitter, crafting countless sweaters and garments for her children and grandchildren over the years, a symbol of her love and care. Louise also had a passion for games, often found enjoying bingo, cribbage, or the thrill of playing the penny slot machines at the casino. A talented baker, she delighted her family with her famous “snowball cookies” and took special requests, making sure to deliver her sweet treats each Christmas.Louise is survived by her children: Jane Maglicane and her husband Steve, Carol Walkley and her husband Peter, and her son Douglas Richards and his wife Annie. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren, Christopher, Mackenzie, Ryan, and Matthew, as well as 5 great-grandchildren who brought her much joy.In keeping with her wishes,
