Lucille Annette Marino, age 85 of Leominster, MA passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 21, 2015. She was born to the late William and Yvonne Tourigny on December 7, 1929.
Lucille graduated from Leominster High School in 1947. She participated in the St. Jean drill team during and after high school. She was employed as a clerk at Foster Grant, and as secretary and clerk at both U.S. Army bases in Fort Sam Houston, TX and Fort Devens, MA. She was also a longtime member of Saint Cecilia’s and Holy Family of Nazareth parishes. God lived in Lucille’s heart and soul.
Family and friends were Lucille’s love and joy. She cherished holidays with family. Lucille was known for her kindness and her sense of humor was infectious. She was a devoted and loving mother and grandmother. She loved to spend time at the beach in her youth and took pride in having family vacations at the coast of Maine. Lucille was skilled at braiding rugs, sewing, cooking and baking. She enjoyed watching New England’s sports teams play games with her husband and knew statistics for the Red Sox, Bruins, and Patriots like any great fan.
Lucille is survived by her husband of 62 years, Gerald Marino, Jr., her four children, Patricia Benz, Susan Perla, Michael Marino and Sandra Bigglestone, her four siblings, Lorraine Gagnon, William Tourigny, Paul Tourigny and Constance LeBouf, her eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind a lot of caring relatives and friends.
A Mass honoring Lucille will be held Saturday, November 28, 2015 at 10 a.m. at Holy Family of Nazareth, Union Street in Leominster. A private gathering with her family will follow the Mass. There are no calling hours. A dedicated burial ceremony will take place at a later date in the Spring of 2016. In lieu of flowers, please direct donations in Lucille’s honor to a charity of your choice.
