LEOMINSTER - Lucille (Bleickhardt) Morrissette, 85, of Leominster, passed away on Tuesday August 28, 2012, in Health Alliance Hospital following a brief illness. She was the daughter of the late William and Ruth (Tripp) Bleickhardt and wife of 61 years to the late Raymond Morrissette, who passed away in 2009.
Lucille worked as a stitcher for Cluet and Peobody of Leominster in her younger years, later going to work as a packer for Colonial Press and then retiring from Krest Products of Leominster. She was a den leader for the boy and girl scouts and also enjoyed collecting stamps, coins, making ceramics and spending time with her family.
She leaves behind one son, David Morrissette and his wife Cheryl, of Goffstown, NH, one daughter Joanne Safford and her husband Donald, of Leominster, six grandchildren, Bryan, Holly, Rene, Michael Morrissette, Kimberly and Gerry Safford.
She was predeceased by a brother Raymond W. Bleickhardt who died in 2006.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, September 7, 2012 from 9:30am-10:30am with a mass of Christian burial at 11:00am in St. Cecilia’s church, 180 Mechanic St. Leominster. Burial will follow in St. Cecilia’s cemetery, Leominster.
