Lucille Gloria Tetreault

MARLBORO- The Sisters of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin mourn the loss of Sister Lucille Gloria Tetreault, formerly known as Sister Lucille Marie, who passed away at Mercy Medical Center, Springfield, MA on September 22, 2016 after a brief illness. She was the daughter of Lea (Guyon) and Alphonse Tetreault of Indian Orchard, MA. Sister Lucille entered the Congregation of the Sisters of the Assumption on August 21, 1949. Gifted in both teaching and administration, she was well known in Salem, Chicopee Falls and Petersham, MA. In 1986 she organized and directed the Associates of the Sisters of the Assumption and continued to actively support its members. After thirty years of service in Catholic Education, both as a teacher and administrator, she performed many community services as a superior, nurse’s aide and also as a Hospice worker. She is survived by her sisters Loretta Panaccione of Ludlow, Phyllis Morin of Springfield, her brother Clarence and his wife Gloria of Ludlow, nieces, nephews and cousins, as well as the members of her Religious Congregation and Associates. Sister Lucile will be waked at St. Anne Convent, 720 Boston Post Rd. East, Marlboro, MA on Monday, September 26 from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm followed by a special prayer service at 4:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, September 27 at 10:00 am at St. Anne Convent Chapel in Marlboro, MA. Interment will follow in East Street Cemetery, Petersham, MA.
