ATHOL - Lynda A (Noyes) Brousseau, 68 of 139 Newton St., Athol, died Wednesday, August 6, 2008 in the Emerson Hospital, Concord. She was born in Athol, on September 25, 1939, the daughter of the late Lyndon and the late Dorothy (Coats) Noyes. She grew up in Athol and graduated from Athol High School with the class of 1958. She and her daughter owned and operated Teeple's Messenger Service for several years. She was a member of the Athol Congregational Church, Rainbow Club and was active in the former Quabbin Snowmobile Club. She enjoyed cooking, oil painting and loved family gatherings especially weekends and holidays. She leaves her husband of 47 years: Gerald A. Brousseau, two daughters: Susan Strong and Pamela Brousseau both of Orange, two sons: Andre Brousseau and wife Chantal of Wells, ME, and Darien Brousseau of Athol, and five grandchildren: Jacqueline Liukkonen, Joshua Liukkonen, Jason Strong, Olivia Brousseau and Vivianne Brousseau. She was predeceased by a grandson Andrew Strong and her half-brother Carl Holman. Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 9, 2008 at 10:00 am in the Fiske Funeral Home, 1356 Main Street, Athol. Burial will follow in Silver Lake Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Friday, August 8, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Fiske Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made in her memory to Athol Congregational Church, 1225 Chestnut St., Athol, MA 01331 or a charity of one's choice.
