M. Florence (Cormier) Arsenault

Leominster- M.  Florence (Cormier) Arsenault, 91, of Leominster, passed away peacefully on Monday November 18, 2013 in the Lifecare Center, Leominster. She was born in Ste. Marie Canada on September 4, 1922, the daughter of the late Isaie and Emilie (Collette) Cormier. She grew up in Canada and moved to Gardner, MA in 1956 with her late husband Fidel Arsenault. She stayed living in Gardner until moving to Leominster in 1975. Marie worked for the former Simplex in Gardner, the former Fitchburg Yarn, and for ITT Spranant in Clinton as a machine operator until her retirement in 1987. Marie was a very fond of her Catholic faith. She was an active member of St. Cecilia’s Church. She would often be found praying the rosary. Marie enjoyed playing bingo, and spending time with her family and friends. Marie leaves behind two sons; Vincent Arsenault, of Leominster, and Robert Arsenault and his wife Veronica, of Port ST. Lucy, FL, one brother; Raymond Cormier of Canada, three sisters; Andrea Guimond, Maie Losier, and Ilene Richards, all of Canada, four grandchildren; Doris, Linda, Paul, and Joanne, six great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held from the Simard Funeral Home 18 Walker Street, Leominster on Friday, November 22, 2013 from 9:00am-10:30am. A mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00am in St. Cecilia’s Church, Leominster. Burial will be private.
