Madelyn G. Brunell

FITCHBURG - Madelyn G. Brunell, 87 of 222 South St., Fitchburg, died Sunday, September 28, 2008 in the Hillcrest Nursing Home, Fitchburg. She was born in Athol, on January 8, 1921, the daughter of the late Harley J. and the late Annie (Blanchette) Brunell. She was a former member of Our Lady Immaculate Church. Madelyn loved going for rides with her niece Helen and especially enjoyed going out for ice cream. She leaves two nieces: Helen Reynolds of Leominster and Marilyn Dapkevick of Gardner; three nephews: Ronald Brunell of PA, James Parenteau and Paul Parenteau both of MD and many great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her niece Carol Compton of Hudson and her nephew Leo Parenteau of TX. Funeral services will be held Friday, October 3, 2008 at 10:00 am in the Fiske Funeral Home, 1356 Main Street, Athol. Burial will follow in Gethsemane Cemetery. No calling hours are scheduled.
