ORANGE - Mamie A. (Calvi) Marsico, 89 formerly 383 East River Street, Orange, died Wednesday, January 10, 2007, in the Lifecare Of Inverrary, Lauderhill, FL.
She was born in Athol, on February 19, 1917, the daughter of the late Felix and the late Orelia (Vaccarazza) Calvi.
Mamie was a longtime resident of the Athol and Orange area, she has resided with her nephew Charles Schwab of Springfield, MA and Lauderhill, FL for the past eleven years.
Mrs. Marsico was employed at the L.S. Starrett Company for several years. She also owned and operated an uptown restaurant. She moved to New York and worked at a hospital for many years. She loved to dance.
She leaves one sister, Norma Mattala of Lauderhill, FL; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by four sisters, Lena Natale formerly Lena Rousseau of Gardner, Mary Robichaud, Edith Porter, and Flora Costanza; and by two brothers, Harry Calvi and Joseph Calvi.
Funeral services will be held at a date and time to be announced in the spring.
