GARDNER- Marcelle A. (Nash) Stuart, 98 of Gardner died Saturday, August 18, 2018 in Heywood Hospital.
She was born October 22, 1919 in Baldwinville the daughter of Robert Nash and Anne Marie (Tephany) Nash. She grew up in Baldwinville and lived there all of her life until moving to Gardner 23 years ago.
She attended the University of Paris and Baypath Institute in Springfield where she received a degree in bookkeeping.
Marcelle traveled extensively with her husband George, was fond of the outdoors, and loved to watch the sky day and night. Her passion was gardening and her love of flowers was evident in and around her home. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
She leaves two daughters, Sue Bockus and her husband Thomas of Athol, Cathy Zurek and her husband Robert of Boxborough; two sons, George A. Stuart, Jr. of Angel Fire, New Mexico, and James R. Stuart of Gardner. She also leaves five grandchildren, Andrew Bockus, Scott Bockus, Brian Zurek, Matthew Zurek and Jennifer Zurek, as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was predeceased by her husband of 53 years, George A. Stuart and by her sister, Roberta Andree Smith.
A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at 11 AM in the Mack Family Funeral Home 105 Central St., Gardner.
A calling hour will be held Wednesday, August 22, 2018 from 10 to 11 AM in the funeral home. Burial will be private at a later date.
