ATHOL- Marcial S. Yandoc Sr., 100 years old, of 298 Vine St., Athol, died Friday, December 12, 2014, at Quabbin Valley Healthcare surrounded by his family.
He was born in the Philippines on October 18, 1914, the son of the late Hipolito and Marciana Yandoc. He grew up in Hermosa, Bataan and graduated from the MAPUA Institute of Technology, College of Civil Engineering. He moved to the United States in 1978 and has resided in Athol since 1984. He was a communicant of Our Lady Immaculate Church.
He leaves one daughter, Corazon and her husband, Carlos Maramag; three sons, Roberto Yandoc and his wife Edna, of the Philippines, Marcial Yandoc, Jr. and his wife Rosita of Warwick, RI, and Joseph Yandoc and his wife, Beatrice of NY; 18 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his wife of 71 years, Emerenciana (Linao) Yandoc, and two sons, Reynaldo L. Yandoc I, and Reynaldo L. Yandoc II.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, December 19, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at Our Lady Immaculate Church, 192 School St., Athol. Burial will follow in Gethsemane Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held Friday, December 19, from 8:30 to 10:30 A.M. at Fiske-Murphy & Mack Funeral Home, 110 New Athol Rd., Orange, MA.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made in his memory to Our Lady Immaculate Church, 192 School St., Athol, MA 01331.
