Margaret Patriquin

January 5, 1950 — December 6, 2024

Gardner

Margaret Frances Patriquin, affectionately known as Peggy, was a life-bringer in every sense of the word. Born on January 5, 1950, in Gardner, MA, she exuded a calm demeanor and love for life that was inspiring.

She relished simple pleasures and believed in the value of hard work and commitment, a testament to her years as a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at Baldwinville Nursing Home before her retirement. Her unwavering dedication to her patients and her profession was a shining beacon of her compassionate spirit and resilience.

Peggy was a woman who loved the outdoors, but nothing surpassed the love she had for her family. Her heart was woven into the fabric of her loved ones' lives, providing a source of love, and encouragement. She was the beloved wife of the late Gerald Sr., who she married on November 12, 1983 and passed alongside her beloved husband of 41 years December 6th, 2024. Her love for the outdoors and family were the defining aspects of her life.  Peggy spent the majority of her career taking care of others as a CNA….including sewing for her patients as needed. She loved to create quilts and crochet blankets, mittens, slippers, and embroidered items as a labor of love for family. She loved going to Moosehead Lake and enjoyed the quiet outdoors and beauty of the wildlife. She enjoyed Jumbo word puzzles and playing Scrabble and Rummy with her daughters in their youth.

Peggy is survived by her daughters Kathleen Gauthier and her husband Michael of Tennessee, Jennifer Murdock and her husband Edward of Winchendon, her son Gerald Patriquin Jr. and his wife Lauree of Athol, her daughter Brenda Letourneau of Grants Pass, Oregon. Her sister-in-law Joyce Flood and her husband Fred of Hubbardston. Her brothers Dennis Stewart of Florida, and Robert Stewart of Maine. Peggy also leaves behind several Grandchildren, Kassaundra and Rylan Gauthier of Tennessee, James, Alexander, Ethan, Scott, and Caitlin Murdock of Winchendon, Jason Patriquin and his wife Robyn of Athol. Tyler Patriquin and spouse Allison of Brighton, Katelynne Letendre and husband Jeffrey of Athol, Malissa Pratt and husband Rob of Gardner. She leaves behind 4 great grandchildren Lydia Patriquin, Mills Patriquin, Grant Letendre and Austin Bean. Nephews Danny Patriquin of Templeton, Jason Flood his wife Christina and their daughter Ava of Ocala, Florida.

Peggy left us on December 6, 2024, but her spirit remains undying in her family and all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Marjorie Stewart, and Donald and Laura Jacobson.

As we remember Peggy, we are reminded of her unwavering love, her big heart, her unwavering dedication to her work, and her undying passion for her family. It is these qualities that have left an indelible mark on our hearts and lives.  Please share your memories, stories, and photos of Peggy on the memorial page https://my.gather.app/remember/margaret-patriquin as a tribute to her vibrant life and the love she shared with us all.
