Margaret A. (Parker) Qualters

ATHOL- Margaret A. (Parker) Qualters, 93, of Athol, died Wednesday, September 11, at Quabbin Valley Healthcare. She was born July 10, 1926, in Bellows Falls, Vermont, daughter of the late Henry in the late Jennie (Britt) Parker. Margaret grew up in Athol and attended Athol schools. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and reading. Her husband of 40 years, Francis Qualters, died in 1987. She was also pre-deceased by two sons, Thomas Qualters in 1987, Brian Qualters in 1953, three brothers, Henry and Windsor Parker and Frank Hamilton, and her sister, Florence Garner. She leaves her son Clayton Qualters and his wife, Karen Smith of Orange; her daughter, Dona Gonzales and husband, Steve of Stockbridge, GA; seven grandchildren, Clayton, Danny, Angela, Alicia, Sarah, Amanda and Joshua; several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. A graveside service will be held in Highland Cemetery Thursday, September 19 at 10:00 AM. Fiske-Murphy & Mack Funeral Home, 110 New Athol Rd., Orange, is assisting the family with arrangements.
