Margaret I. VanDeusen, 76 of 201 South St., Springfield, VT, formerly of Athol, died Sunday, October 8, 2006 in the Springfield Hospital.
She was born in Nashua, NH, on November 23, 1929, the daughter of the late Oren and the late Doris M. (Brown) Pike.
Margaret worked as a nurse's aid for many years, was a member of A.A.R.P. and her hobbies included scrapbooking, going to flea markets, taking walks with her daughter and playing with her grandchildren. She was a very devoted mother and grandmother.
She leaves one daughter, Margo Neronski of Springfield, VT; three sons: Rand Richards of Ashuelot, NH, Ronald Richards of Athol, and Raymond VanDeusen of Hardwick; two sisters, Sylvia Backus of Columbis, NC and Geraldine Baxter of Athol; two brothers, Oren Pike of San Bernardino, CA and James Pike of Delray Beach, FL, and three grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, Winston E. VanDeusen.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 12, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. in the Fiske Funeral Home, 1356 Main Street, Athol. Burial will follow in Silver Lake Cemetery, Athol.
Calling hours will be held Thursday, October 12, 2006 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the Fiske Funeral Home, 1356 Main Street, Athol, MA.
