Leominster – Marguerite M. Gosselin, 86, of Leominster passed away on Sunday November 11, 2012 in Health Alliance Hospital Leominster surrounded by her family after a short illness. She was born in St. Olivier, New Brunswick, Canada on February 13, 1926 to the late Vital and Marie (Guimond) Fontaine.
Marguerite was a self-employed housekeeper for many years, a member of St. Cecilia’s Church, and enjoyed spending her summers in Canada, sewing, cooking and spending time with her family.
She leaves behind her loving husband of forty years O’Neil Gosselin of Leominster, one son Raymond Comeau and his wife Alice of Peterborough N.H., two daughters Jeanne Comeau of British Columbia, Canada, and May Thebeau and her husband Albert of Leominster, MA, one brother Marcel Fontaine and his wife Stella of Canada, two sisters Roseanne Babineau of Canada, and Domitile Doucette of Canada, eleven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her first husband Antoine Comeau who died in 1990, one son Robert Comeau who died in 1993, three brothers Germain, Leon and Albenie Fontaine and three sisters Celina McKie, Agnise Vautour and Loraine Fontaine.
Calling Hours will be held at the Simard Funeral Home 14 Walker Street, Leominster, MA on Thursday November 15, 2012 from 9:00am – 11:00am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30am in St. Cecilia’s Church, 180 Mechanic Street Leominster. Burial will follow in St. Cecilia’s Cemetery, Leominster.
