ATHOL- Marguerite (Aguda) Maga, 93, of 62 Oak Ave., Athol, died Saturday, January 28, at Quabbin Valley Health Care.
Mrs. Maga was born November 7, 1923, in Somerville, daughter of the late Frank and Desolina Aguda. She grew up in Orange, graduating from Orange High School in 1941 and has resided in Athol since 1952. She worked for the former Fishman’s Department Store and Erving Paper Mill. Mrs. Maga was a member of Our Lady Immaculate Church and enjoyed working in her yard, Crossword puzzles, but she especially enjoyed spending time with her family.
She was predeceased by her husband of 34 years, Joseph G. Maga in 1986.
She leaves one son, Joseph F. Maga of Athol; four daughters, Janet Treger and her husband, Jacob of Los Angeles, CA, Frances Maga and her wife, Kate Ross of Pass Christian, MS, Ann M. Caldwell and her husband, David of Athol, and Diane M. Page and her husband, William of Athol; four grandchildren, Ben and Michael Treger, William Caldwell, and Alexander Page; one sister, Rita Scott of OR.
Calling hours are Thursday, February 2, from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. in Higgins-O’Connor Funeral Home, 146 Main St., Athol.
The Funeral Mass will be held Friday, February 3, at 10:00 A.M. in Our Lady Immaculate Church, 192 School St., Athol. Burial will follow in Gethsemane Cemetery.
