Marie H. Boucher

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Marie H. Boucher, affectionately known as Helen, on May 1, 2024. Born to Albertine and Edouard Gagnon on January 29, 1940, in Worcester, MA, Marie H. was a beacon of love, nurturing, and resilience. Her life was a living example of the quote, "The heart of a home is a mother," and this was a role she cherished above all else.

Marie H. spent most of her life in Massachusetts, making a loving home in both Worcester and Baldwinville before finally settling in Gardner. She was a proud graduate of Mount Wachusett Community College (MWCC). As a homemaker, she opened her heart and her home to everyone she met, creating a haven of warmth and love. Never one to sit idle, Marie H. had a zest for life that was infectious. She loved crafting, solving puzzles, and was always up for a lively trip to the casino. Her spirit and vitality were a testament to her belief in living life to the fullest.

Marie H. leaves behind a rich legacy through her children, Wendy (William) Cote, Christine (Travis) Smith, Cathy (Richard) Allard, Scott (Nicole) Boucher, Ronald Gagnon, and Dexter Jr. She was a mother, a friend, and a mentor to them. In the words of Maya Angelou, “I sustain myself with the love of family.” 

Marie H. was preceded in death by her parents, Albertine and Edouard Gagnon, her siblings Margie, Lucille, and Pauline, her children Diana-Lynne and Dennis Gagnon, and her grandson, Jason.

As we mourn the loss of Marie H., we also celebrate her life and the love she shared with us all.
