ATHOL - Marie Helen (Mallet) (Gravelin) Daigle, 95 formerly of 528 Crescent St., Athol died Tuesday, July 4, 2006, in the Wachusett Manor Nursing Home, Gardner.
She was born in Shippegan New Brunswick, Canada on March 12, 1911, the daughter of the late William and the late Marie (Hebert) Mallet. She moved to the Athol area when she was sixteen and has resided here since.
She worked in New Home in Orange and also at the Union Twist Drill Company. She was a communicant of Our Lady Immaculate Church. She will be greatly missed by everyone at the Wachusett Manor Nursing Home where she was deeply loved.
She leaves several nieces and nephews including her nephew and caregiver Wil Godin and his wife Dorothy of Athol.
She was predeceased by her first husband, Leo Gravelin and by her second husband, Arthur "Ray" Daigle.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, July 8, 2006, at 10:00 am in Our Lady Immaculate Church, 192 School St., Athol. All attending are kindly asked to go directly to the church. Burial will follow in Silver Lake Cemetery, Athol. There are no calling hours.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made in her memory to Our Lady Immaculate Church - Building Fund, 192 School St., Athol, MA 01331.
