Marie Haddad of Norwalk, CT, died on Tuesday, July 1, 2014
Marie was a loving daughter, sister, and aunt. To her last breath she was kind and generous -- thanking everyone, and expressing appreciation to all who were helping her. She loved animals, especially her cat George, and was a generous supporter of the Humane Society and her local shelter.
She was born to Lillian and Hank Haddad in Brooklyn, NY, eventually moving with her family to Gardner. She graduated from Gardner High School in 1967 and attended Pace College (now Pace University) in New York City. She worked for Simplex Time Recorder in Gardner, and later retired after thirty years with Swiss Bank/USB as an Associate Director.
She enjoyed reading, spending time with family, and going to New York City with friends to see Broadway shows.
She leaves behind her sister and brother-in-law Karen and Brian Potter of Los Angeles; brother and sister-in-law David and Gita Haddad of Ashburnham; nephew Kary Haddad of New York City; nieces Courtney Potter of Los Angeles and Mary Shirley of Millville; great-niece Amy Wooley of Streetsboro, OH; aunt Jennie Barakat of Boston; and many first and second cousins around New England and New York. She will be missed by all.
Services will be private. Donations in Marie's memory can be made to Gardner VNA HealthCare, 34 Pearly Lane, Gardner, MA, 01440.
