ATHOL - Marieanne (Landry) Joly, 93 of Athol, died Thursday, September 26, 2019 in the Quabbin Valley Healthcare, Athol.
She was born in New Brunswick, Canada, on July 26, 1926, the daughter of the late James and the late Exilia (Landry) Landry.
Marieanne moved to the United States from Canada when she was 18 months old and grew up in Athol.
She was a member of Our Lady Immaculate Church in Athol and a former member of St. Edward the Confessor Church in Westminster. She enjoyed playing Bingo
She leaves one daughter: Anne White of Vero Beach, FL; a step-son, Richard Joly of Boston; a step-daughter, Diana Kamila of Ashburnham; three sisters: Julieanne Marcotte of Orange, Rita Mallett of Athol, Mary Taylor of Leominster; two grandchildren; two step-grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
Marieanne was predeceased by her first husband Robert Hopkins, by her second husband William Joly; and by two sisters Jeanine Emery and Eldora LaChance.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, October 4, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady Immaculate Church, 192 School St., Athol. Burial will follow in Gethsemane Cemetery.
There are no calling hours.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made in her memory to a charity of one’s choice.
