ATHOL - Marion (Thompson) Lukaszevicz, 82 of Athol, died Saturday, January 5, 2013 in the UMass Memorial Medical Center - University Campus, Worcester.
She was born in Athol, on January 31, 1930, the daughter of the late Henry and the late Anna (Reed) Thompson.
She grew up in Athol and graduated from Athol High School. Marion attended Mount Wachusett Community College.
She worked for many years as a receptionist for Erving Paper Mill. She also was well known from working at Bob & Omer's in Athol. She also worked as a telephone operator for several years.
She was a member of the Athol Golden Ager's. But above all, she enjoyed time spent with her family.
She leaves two sons, Joseph Lukaszevicz and his wife Lisa Addison of Plymouth, MA, Michael Lukaszevicz and his wife Valorie Parent of Lancaster, MA; one sister, Shirley Horton and her husband Luther of Orange; one brother, Robert "Bobby" Thompson and his wife Mary-Jane of Clinton, CT; two grandchildren, Lily Lukaszevicz and Leo Lukaszevicz of Lancaster; and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Lukaszevicz; by two brothers, Edgar Thompson, Cliff Thompson; and by two sisters, Madlyn Gray, Dorothy "Dot" Fletcher.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at 10:00 am in the Fiske-Murphy & Mack Funeral Home, 110 New Athol Road, Orange. Burial will follow in Gethsemane Cemetery, Athol.
Calling hours will be held Tuesday, January 8, 2013 from 3 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
