Marjorie Anne Masson

ORANGE - Marjorie Anne Masson, 78 of 383 East River Street, Orange, formerly of Athol, died Sunday, December 28, 2008 in the UMass Memorial Medical Center - University Campus, Worcester, MA. She was born in Somerville, MA, on March 22, 1930, the daughter of the late Lester T. and the late Esther E. (Landerkin) Lawton. She was educated in Athol. She was a member of Starrett Memorial United Methodist Church in Athol. She was an office worker, employed by L.S. Starrett Tool Co for 40 years, she retired in 1992. She enjoyed Crocheting She was predeceased by her husband, William G. Masson. She leaves a sister, Virginia Morris of Ashburnham, MA and one brother, Elwyn Lawton of Orange, MA and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 3, 2009 at 1 p.m. in the Fiske Funeral Home, 1356 Main Street, Athol. Burial will follow in Silver Lake Cemetery. A calling hour will be held on Saturday from 12 - 1 p.m. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made in her memory to charity of one's choice.
