Worcester- Mark D. “Danny” McGuinness, 51, of Worcester, passed away on Monday February 3, 2014 in the UMass Medical Center University Campus, Worcester after a long illness. Mark was born on April 14, 1962, the son of the late Mark F. McGuiness and Dolores (Hart) DiNardo.
“Danny” attended Oakmont Regional High School in Westminster. He work as a self-employed painter most of his life, recently working for Casino Painting in Worcester. He enjoyed camping, all of the Boston sports teams especially the New England Patriots, spending time at the ocean in Hampton Beach, Salisbury Beach, and Old Orchard Beach. He enjoyed listening to classic rock music and will be missed for his lasagna.
“Danny” leaves behind his mother; Dolores DiNardo and his step-father Thomas Warren of Worcester, three sons; Scott McGuinness of Fitchburg, Mark McGuinness of Oklahoma, and Sean McGuinness of Arizona, one Daughter; Megan McGuinness of Arizona, one brother; Keith DiNardo of Worcester, two sisters; Marlene McGuinness-Caisse and her husband Patrick of Fitchburg, and Doreen DiNardo of Winchendon, three grandchildren; Rhyann McGuinness, Markyla McGuinness, and Marissa McGuinness, several three nieces; Shana Caisse, Micala Caisse, and Jennifer Kauffman, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He also leaves behind a dear and devoted friend Anne Bowser-Peterson of Leominster.
Calling hours will be held from the Simard Funeral Home 14 Walker ST. Leominster on Saturday February 8, 2014 from 5:00pm-7:00pm. A memorial service will immediately follow at 7:00pm in the funeral home. Burial will be at a later date following cremation.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made to the Simard Funeral Home 14 Walker St. Leominster, MA 01453 to help defray the cost of services.
