Mark William Holland

GARDNER - Mark William Holland, 64, of Gardner died Friday, December 30, 2016 at Heywood Hospital of Gardner. Mark was born August 28, 1952 in Leominster the son of the late Merle and the late Grace (Ouellette) Holland. Mark grew up in Leominster and graduated from Leominster High School. He has been a resident of Gardner for 28 years. He was employed as a carpenter for the Carpenters Union until he became disabled in 1999. Mark loved cycling, and before becoming disabled rode his bike around Ireland for 3 weeks. Mark was a member of the Sons of AMVETS in Westminster. He enjoyed woodworking and making things for his family and many friends. Mark looked forward to his trips to Florida to visit his daughter Jenna, her husband Russell, and his many friends. He was known for his huge heart and for being such a strong man, never giving up even though faced with many health related challenges. Most importantly, Mark loved his family deeply and enjoyed frequent visits with his grandchildren, Ryder and Addy. He leaves his wife of 30 years, Deborah (Cormier) Holland; two daughters, Jenna Counts and her husband Russell of Port St. Lucie, FL; Kyla Holland and her significant other Billy Mallet of Gardner; one son, Jesse Holland of Gardner; one sister, Diane Tousignant of Templeton; two grandchildren, Ryder and Addyson and one grandchild that will be born in February, Lane Counts, several nieces and nephews, his longtime best friend, Pat Wyman, and an extended family of everlasting friendships. A celebration of life will be held at a date and time to be announced.
