Marshall C. Tatro
Athol- Marshall C. "Mike" Tatro, 68 of Euclid Street, died Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at his home surrounded by his family.
Mike was born in Gardner, Massachusetts, June 6, 1946, the son of Arthur and Marion (Newton) Tatro. He has lived in Athol all of his life, graduating from Athol High School in 1964.
Mike retired as a program coordinator for the Athol-Orange Community Television and was one of the founding members. He was a Hamm radio operator, his call letters were N1HAK and
was a member of the Mohawk Amateur Radio Club. Mike was very proud to be one of the managers of
the 1963 Athol High School football team. He enjoyed photography, trips to the ocean and Disney
World but most of all spending time with his family.
He leaves his wife of 44 years, Nancy (Chiasson) Tatro; two sons, Christopher Tatro and his wife Allison of
Hopkinton, MA and Andrew Tatro and his wife Andee of Sunderland; a brother, Wayne Tatro and his
partner and family friend, Jackie Paluilis; grandchildren who Mike adored, Julian, Elizabeth (Lizzy),
and Brian Tatro. He also leaves a cousin, Larry Newton; his in-laws, Tip and Fabian Chiasson; brother-in-
laws, David and William Chiasson and Larry Vaidulas; sister-in-law, Carole Vaidulas; several nieces and
nephews, many good friends and his beloved cats, Diamond Dave and Max.
At Mike's request no formal funeral services are planned. The family suggests those wishing to make
