Martha Mott Kumph Falmouth, Maine – Martha “Tilli” (Harrington) Mott Kumph, 81, died Monday, November 5, 2012 at the Sedgewood Commons in Falmouth.      Tilli was born in Phillipston, Massachusetts, October 13, 1931, the daughter of Jonathon Thomas and Dorothy Helen (Keene) Harrington.  She grew up in Phillipston and Athol where she lived for many years, moving to Wells and Kennebunk, ME in 1980 and for the past several years has resided in Falmouth.  She graduated from Athol High School in 1951 and took continuing education classes at Mt. Wachusett Community College.      Tilli owned and operated “The Chickadees Nest” in Kennebunk, The Country Mouse in Wells, Flowers by Tilli in Athol and Fitchburg, co/owner of Flowers by Paul and Tilli in Athol, beverage manager for the Fox Run Restaurant in Phillipston and worked for the former Bell Telephone Company.   She loved to explore and travel to new places, traveled to Scotland and Ireland, enjoyed painting in oils and watercolors, bird watching, photography, backpacking and alpine skiing.      Her husband of 23 years, Charles “Chis” Kumph died in 2003. She leaves a daughter, Debbi-Lee Mott of Corvallis, OR, a grandson, Kai Mott Hoogesteger and granddaughter Brynn Mott Hoogesteger .  She was predeceased by a daughter, Nancy Elizabeth Mott in 1977.      A graveside service will be held at Highland Cemetery in Athol in the Spring of 2013.  Higgins-O’Connor Funeral Home, 146 Main Street, Athol is directing arrangements.  For further information or to share a memory with the family go to:  www.higginsoconnorfuneralhome.com. $(document).ready(function(){ });
