ATHOL- Mary A. (Robisauskas) Mazejka, 89, of Athol, died Tuesday, May 12, in Quabbin Valley Healthcare, after an illness.
She was born March 19, 1926, in Athol, daughter of the late John and Veronika (Kairys) Robisauskas and has lived in Athol all her life other than three years spent in Bridgeport, CT. While in Connecticut, she worked as a telephone operator. Following her return to Athol, she worked as an inspector for the former U. T. D., and was the assistant Town Clerk in Athol for ten years, retiring in 1979.
Mrs. Mazejka was a member of Our Lady Immaculate Church. She enjoyed watching old movies on TV, and watching birds from her window. She was dedicated to her family and was close to her neighbors and friends.
Her husband of 60 years, Edward J. Mazejka, died November 11, 2010 and her daughter, Diane Mazejka, died April 8, 2011. She was also predeceased by her brothers and sisters.
She leaves two daughters, Veronica "Ronni" Ricker and her husband, Elton, of West Greenwich, RI, and Marie Winchester of Orange; four grandchildren, Thomas Ricker of West Greenwich, RI, Melanie Boland of Wrentham, Amy Klouchek of Tabernacle, NJ, and Erin Boucher of Athol; seven great grandchildren, Matthew, Mason, Molly, Emily, Emma, Joshua, and Jacob; her Godson, Anthony Brighenti of Athol; many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services are private.
