ARVADA - Mary H. Blake, 91 of 6149 Zinnia St., Arvada, CO, formerly of Athol, died Wednesday, August 1, 2012 in the Collier Hospice Center, Wheat Ridge, CO. She was the wife of the late Joseph G. Blake who died in 1991.
She was born in Athol, on June 21, 1921 the daughter of the late Antonio and Dorlorto (Masselli) Barilone.
She grew up in Athol and attended Athol schools. Mary was a long time member of Our Lady Immaculate Church and a Eucharistic Minister. She worked at the Athol Comb Shop. Most of all she was a loving caring mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She had a great sense of humor, loved music and found joy in helping others.
She leaves a son Steven Blake and his wife Chris of Arvada, Colorado, grandchildren Adam Blake and his wife Kirsten, Angela Crafton and her husband Ryan and Erica Blake all of Colorado; four great-grandchildren, Jaedon Crafton, Alice Crafton, Blake Crafton and Harper Rose Blake. Sisters Camaline Keach of Athol, Antoinette Etter of Arizona, Rose Waid and her husband Lee of Winchendon, along with many nieces and nephews. She is preceded by brothers Frank Lovero, Nicholas Barilone, and Joseph Barilone; sister Phylis Demarest,
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, August 8, 2012 at 10:00 am in the Our Lady Immaculate Church, 192 School St., Athol. Burial will follow in Silver Lake Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held Tuesday, August 7, 2012 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Fiske-Murphy & Mack Funeral Home, 110 New Athol Rd., Orange, MA.
