GARDNER- Mary B. Cyganiewicz, 88, of Gardner, died Friday, November 10, in Baldwinville Skilled Nursing Center.
She was born September 28, 1929, in Gardner, daughter of the late Stanley and Blanche (Dymek) Cyganiewicz. Mary worked for Dr. Tracy in Gardner before moving to the Boston area where she lived for many years before settling in Littleton. While living in Boston, Mary worked for a large legal firm. She will be remembered for her loving, caring, and generous spirit. Family always was first. She enjoyed making her annual Christmas cookies and cranberry sauce for Thanksgiving. She also enjoyed figure skating, photography, and clothes shopping, especially at Talbots and Filene’s Basement. She was always dressed to the hilt. She enjoyed her daily fresh squeezed orange juice, coming home for Friday visits with coffee and pastry to start the weekend, and listening to Mario Lanza. Her caring nature was shown in many ways including feeding stray cats, and the occasional raccoon. She was an “organized collector”.
Her husband, Frank Harlow, predeceased her. She was also predeceased by two brothers, Johnny and Leon Cyganiewicz, and two sisters, Nellie Wesockes, and Blanche Aucoin.
She leaves a brother, Joseph Cyganiewicz and his wife, Lorraine of Gardner; two sisters, Stella Shilko of Greenfield, and Stazy Fredette of Gardner; many nieces and nephews.
A calling hour will be held Wednesday, November 15, from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. in Lamoureux-Smith & Poliks Funeral Home, a Mack Family Funeral Home, 105 Central St., Gardner. The funeral will follow at 11:00 A.M. Burial is in St. John’s Cemetery.
