Mary C. (Hojnowski) McIntosh

BALDWINVILLE- Mary C. (Hojnowski) McIntosh 96, died Friday, January 2, 2015 at Baldwinville Nursing Home. She was born on September 24, 1918 in Gardner the daughter of Joseph Hojnowski and Caroline (Truhel) Hojnowski. She grew up in Gardner and graduated from Gardner High School in 1936. Mrs. McIntosh was a member of Sacred Heart Church while living in Gardner. She was a member of the Southern Maine Golf Association and the Gardner Municipal Golf Course. She was a former Girl Scout leader and Den Mother for Cub Scouts.  She lived in Maine for more than 30 years. Mrs. McIntosh did a lot of volunteer work in Gardner and in Maine. She enjoyed golf, bowling, line dancing, crocheting and knitting and mostly spending time with her family. She leaves her husband of 75 years Robert W. McIntosh of Baldwinville; one son James MacIntosh of Gardner a daughter Caroline Fratturelli of Greenville New Hampshire, one brother Theodore Chojnowski of Gardner; two sisters, Jennie H. Sunderland of Gardner and Theresa DiVirgillo of Otter River; four grandchildren; six great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three brothers Leon Chojnowski, Frank Chojnowski, Edward Chojnowski; and by a sister Sally Bouffond. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at 11 a.m. in Sacred Heart Church 166 Cross St., Gardner. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery Winchendon.
