Mary Helen McKenney

May 7, 1957 — November 14, 2024

Westminster

It is with deep sorrow and a sense of divine acceptance that we announce the passing of Mary Helen McKenney, a charismatic and compassionate soul who brought light into the lives of those around her. Born on May 7, 1957, in Natick, MA, Mary was a loving wife, a nurturing mother, a beautiful sister, and a friend to many. She departed this life on November 14, 2024, leaving a legacy that will be cherished by all who had the privilege to know her.

Mary's faith was her compass, guiding her through the journey of life. She loved her family, her pets, and the many "adopted strays" - both animals and people - who found comfort and solace in her home. Mary was a creative force in her personal and professional life, having worked as an editor at a renowned magazine company before retiring. Her unique ability to weave together words and ideas was mirrored in the way she brought people together, fostering a sense of community and belonging. An active member of the NRA, she was passionate about her hobbies and held her friends close to her heart. As it says in Proverbs 31:25-26, "She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come. She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue."

Mary is lovingly remembered by her husband, Arnold McKenney, her son Arnie McKenney and his wife Sarah, her step-daughter Sarah McKenney, and her sister-in-law Sandy McKeon. She now joins her parents, John and Helen Mongardi, in peaceful rest. Mary's life was a testament to the power of love, faith, and compassion. Her memory will continue to inspire and guide us, even as we mourn her physical absence.

Please feel free to share your memories or photographs of Mary on her memorial page as a tribute to her remarkable life. Every shared smile, every heartfelt story, will serve as a reminder of the love and joy she brought into our lives.
