Mary M. Musante

Mary M. Musante, 95 of 289 Sanders St., died Monday, November 20, 2006 in the Quabbin Valley Healthcare, Athol. She was born in Lawrence, MA, on August 2, 1911, the daughter of the late John and the late Victoria Pietraszek. Mary was the owner of Mary Musante's Beauty Shop, which she ran for sixty years, not retiring until she was eighty years old. She was a former member of the Quota Club, Our Lady Immaculate Choir and St. Ann´s. She was a member of Our Lady Immaculate Church. She enjoyed knitting and loved oil painting and doing assorted crafts. Mary enjoyed spending time with and loving her family. She leaves one daughter, Theresa Blanchard and her husband Alfred of Athol; one sister, Annie Legere of Turners Falls; one brother, Edward Pietraszek of TX; three grandchildren, Sharon Maroni of Athol, Tony Parker of VT and Rick Parker of VT; eight great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Charles Musante in 1981; one brother, Chester Pietraszek; and three sisters, Helen, Grace and Sophie. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, November 22, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady Immaculate Church, 192 School St., Athol. Burial will follow in Silver Lake Cemetery, Athol. There are no calling hours.
