Mary C. (Pedrazzi) Marquis

  ATHOL - Mary C. (Pedrazzi) Marquis of 625 Cottage St., Athol died peacefully, Saturday, March 10, 2012 at her daughter’s home in Sunapee, NH.   Mary was born in Gardner on February 5, 1941, the daughter of Harriet (Knowlton) Pedrazzi Richardson of Royalston and the late Paul Pedrazzi. She was raised and educated in the Athol-Orange area and graduated from Athol High School with the class of 1959.    Many years ago, Mrs. Marquis worked for the former Athol Table Shop, waitressed for the former Barry Bond Restaurant in Orange and the former Athol Diner. She later worked for the former McElwain's Shoe Shop and the Erving Paper Mill. More recently, Mrs. Marquis was employed as a machinist for the L. S. Starrett Tool Company for seventeen years until her retirement in 2005. She was a communicant of Our Lady Immaculate Church in Athol and a member of the Athol Golden Age Club. She enjoyed watching sports and was an avid fan of all New England sports teams. She also enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.   In addition to her mother, Mary also leaves her husband of 49 years (would have been 50 years in June): Richard D. Marquis, Sr. of Athol; her son, Raymond W. Marquis and his fiancée Diane Beach of Athol; her daughter, Kelly M. Petrin and her husband Rodney of Sunapee, NH; her daughter-in-law, Cindy Foster-Marquis and her fiancé Laurie Naughton of Greenfield; two brothers, William Richardson, Jr. and his wife Sue of Henderson, NV, Michael Richardson and his companion Sherri of Erving; one sister, Darlene Wilhite of Royalston; six grandchildren, Noah Foster-Marquis, Hannah Foster-Marquis and Zoe Snow-Naughton, all of Greenfield, Josette Petrin, Sean Petrin, Sara Petrin, all of Sunapee, NH; two aunts, Edna Richardson and her husband Charles of Orange, Gloria Durkee of Athol; her brother-in-law, Dan King; and many nieces and nephews.   She was predeceased by her son, Richard D. Marquis, Jr. in 1991; by two daughters, Kimberly A. Marquis in 2003, Karen J. Marquis in 2007; by her father, Paul Pedrazzi, by her step father, William Richardson, in 2007, and by a sister, Charlene King, in 2008.   Funeral Service will be held Friday, March 16, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. at the Fiske-Murphy & Mack Funeral Home, 110 New Athol Rd., Orange, MA. Burial will be at a later date. A calling hour will be held Friday from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. in the Funeral Home.   In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made in her memory to Our Lady Immaculate Church - Building Fund, 192 School St., Athol, MA 01331. $(document).ready(function(){ });
