Mary (Koczan) Sawicki

Baldwinville - Mary A. (Koczan) Sawicki, 95 years old, of Otter River, MA passed on Tuesday, July 1, 2014. Mary was born in Gardner MA on July 14, 1918 to Alexander and Rozalia Koczan. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Stanley J. Sawicki and by her son Stanley E. Sawicki.  Mary is survived by her son John J. Sawicki, and his wife Cindy of Nassau, NY and her daughter-in-law Pat Sawicki of Holden, MA.  She also leaves behind four grandchildren, Dr. Kerri Sawicki of  Watertown, MA, Katelyn Sawicki of Leominster, MA, Adam (Shawna) Sawicki of Saratoga, NY, and John (Jessica) Sawicki, Jr. of Troy, NY. Mary is survived by one brother Stanley Koczan of Gardner, MA.  She is predeceased by her siblings Jennie Dymek of Baldwinville, MA, Frank Koczan of Athol, MA, Charles Koczan of Gardner, MA, Loretta Koczan of Gardner, MA and many nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held at Poliks Funeral Home, 431 Pleasant St., Gardner, MA, on Wednesday, July 9, from 10 to 11 am.  Funeral services will be held right after calling hours at Poliks Funeral Home by the Pastor of St. Martins Church.  Burial will follow at St. Josephs Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Mary has requested that donations be made in her memory to the Templeton Council of the Aging (PO Box 244, 135 Patriots Rd, East Templeton, Ma, 01438) for their new Senior Center Building Fund or the Baldwinville Nursing Home 51 Hospital Road P.O.
