WESTMINSTER - Mike Nolan, of Westminster, passed away on February 1, 2009 at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center in Worcester, MA. He was on August 13, 1952, and was the son of Patricia M. Nolan and the late John J. Nolan. He graduated from Oakmont Regional High School and received an Associates Degree from Mount Wachusett Community College. He later earned Bachelors and Masters Degrees in history at the University of Massachusetts. He was a member of the Phi Beta Kappa Society. Mike worked as a writer and assistant editor for The Robb Report Magazine and traveled extensively throughout the world writing about his experiences. He is survived by his mother: Patricia Nolan of Westminster; his brother: Dan Nolan and his wife Bridget of Athol; and one sister: Jackie Hallam of Tracy, CA. He also leaves several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contribution may be made in his memory to the City of Gardner Shelter Fund, Board of Health 95 Pleasant St. Rm. #29 Gardner, MA 01440.
