TEMPLETON - Michael Joseph Wylie, 47, of 107 Lauren View Drive, Templeton, died unexpectedly Tuesday, July 15, 2008 at home. He was born in Winchester, MA, on October 13, 1960, the son of George and the late Mary Theresa (Connolly) Wylie. Mr. Wylie grew up in Raymond, NH, and graduated from Raymond High School. He has been a resident of Templeton since 1993. He underwent training and completed his apprenticeship to become a licensed lineman. He was employed by the Templeton Municipal Light Department for over 15 years. Mr. Wylie was a member of the IBEW local 104 and was very proud of his job as a journeyman lineman. He was a member of the Holy Cross Catholic Church in Templeton. His biggest joy in his life was being coach to his daughters' soccer team for the Gardner Soccer program, which he did for many years. He loved hunting and fishing and the outdoors. He was an avid Boston sports fan, and enjoyed taking his daughters to many Red Sox and professional soccer games. He was a very caring and loving father to his children and was very involved with them. Besides his father, George Wylie, he leaves his two daughters, Emily and Ashley Wylie of Templeton; one brother, Ken Wylie and his wife Pauline Wylie of Westford; four sisters, Janine Hybian of Nashua, NH, Patrice Skinner and her husband Paul of Hollis, NH, Maura Wylie of Manchester, NH, Lisa Wylie of Weare, NH; also one nephew, five nieces, and his former wife, Martha and her husband Clayton Hanright of Templeton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, July 19, 2008, at 10:00 a.m. in the Holy Cross Church, 26 Lake Ave., East Templeton. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Templeton. Calling hours will be held Friday, July 18, 2008, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. in the John H. Mack Funeral Home, 91 Vernon St., Gardner. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to the Emily and Ashley Wylie Scholarship Fund, GFA Federal Credit Union, Main Branch, 229 Parker St., Gardner, MA, 01440.
