ATHOL - Mildred I. (Thibodeau) Blake, 93, of Athol, died Thursday, December 17, 2015 in the Quabbin Valley Healthcare, Athol.
She was born January 21, 1922, in Athol, daughter of the late Edward and Florence (Parron) Thibodeau, and lived in Athol all her life.
She worked for Lindsey's Pharmacy and Grant's Department Store and enjoyed knitting, gardening, and visiting with her family and friends.
Her husband of 43 years, Howard Blake, predeceased her. She was also predeceased by her granddaughter, Melissa Gould, and her brother, Everett Thibodeau.
She leaves three sons, Donald Blake of Saugerties, NY, Douglas Blake of Palenville, NY, and Richard Blake of Norton, MA; six grandchildren, Kristy, Christopher, Scott, Stephanie, and Elizabeth Blake, and Angela Kitzmiller; one great grandson, Aiden Quick and one great
granddaughter Lexis Kitzmiller.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at 1:00 PM in the Fiske-Murphy & Mack Funeral Home, 110 New Athol Road, Orange. Burial will follow in Silver Lake Cemetery.
A calling hour will be held Tuesday, December 22, 2015 from 12 - 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
