Nancy Ball (Ball) Cloutier

Nancy B Cloutier      Nancy (Ball) Cloutier, daughter of the late James and Norma (DeJackome) Ball passed away on March 5, 2014 in Gulfport, MS.  She was born on January 3, 1954 in Greenfield, MA.    Nancy grew up in Orange, graduating from Mahar Regional High School in 1972 and attending Greenfield Community College before moving to the Burlington, VT area.   She began her lifelong career as a medical assistant while living in Vermont. She married Harry (Chip) Cloutier in 1977 and traveled as a military spouse until he retired and they settled in Mississippi.  Nancy worked as a medical assistant at various medical businesses in the Gulfport area as well as operating her own medical billing company.  She retired as office manager for a medical business in July of 2013 due to poor health.      Nancy was an active member and leader of the Girl Scouts of Greater Mississippi, a singer in the Coast Chorale Choir Group, an active member of the United Methodist Church, as well as a member and officer of the American Business Women’s Association of Gulfport, MS.  She enjoyed reading, knitting, sewing and spoiling her grandson Emmett.        She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Harry “Chip” Cloutier of Long Beach, MS; two daughters, Jaqui Cloutier of D’lberville and Julee Cloutier Zornes and her husband Matt and her 15-month old grandson, Emmett Zornes  of Ft. Walton Beach, FL.  She leaves two sisters, Jerilynn (Ball) Deyo of Orange and Karen Ball of Georgia, VT and lifelong friends, Marla Cromwell of Orange and Gale Cass of Smithfield, NC.  She also leaves nieces and nephews, Timothy Deyo and his wife Lisa of Attleboro, Theresa (Deyo) Balotin and her husband Eric of Jamesville, NY, Tracey Deyo and Thomas Deyo of Orange and several grand nieces and nephews.      A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 21, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Central Congregational Church, 93 South Main Street, Orange with the Rev. Dr. Megan Leary, pastor officiating with burial following at South Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Nancy’s memory to the Central Congregational Church Memorial Fund, 93 South Main Street, Orange, MA 01364.   Higgins-O’Connor Funeral Home, 146 Main Street, Athol is directing arrangements.  For further information or to share a memory with the family go to: www.higginsoconnorfuneralhome.com.                                     $(document).ready(function(){ });
