Nancy E Blanchard

Nancy Elaine Blanchard 84 of Orange, MA passed away Friday October 27,2023 at Quabbin Valley Healthcare, Athol.

Born November 13, 1938 to Alphonse and Flora (Mallette) Blanchard in Athol.  She was the youngest of 8 children.  Having grown up In Athol she ventured on to Nursing School in Springfield, MA.  After graduating, she moved to Manhattan and began her long career as Head Pediatric Nurse at Mt. Sanai Hospital.  After retirement, she moved back to Athol to take care of her parents.

Nancy loved traveling, Hawaii being one of her favorite destinations which she visited often.  She also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and always looked forward to attending any festivities with everyone.

As a devout Catholic, she gave much of her time to helping in any way she could at St. Francis of Assisi Church in Athol.

Nancy leaves behind her sister Janis Lefebre of Athol, MA, Roger Blanchard of Pepperill, MA and many nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her parents, her sisters Vona, Norma and Verda and her brothers Howard and Lawrence.

There are no calling hours.  A funeral service will be held in Fiske-Murphy & Mack Funeral Home, 110 New Athol Road, Orange, MA at 11:00am, Friday, November 3, 2023.

Burial will be at Gethsemane Cemetery, Brookside Road, Athol, MA immediately following the service.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Francis of Assisi Church, Athol, MA.
