Nevada M. Schwab

ATHOL - Nevada M. (Fox) Schwab, 91, of 821 Daniel Shays Highway, Athol, and formerly of Stanford, CT, died Wednesday, March 26, 2008 in the Quabbin Valley Healthcare, Athol. She was born in Rush Hill, MO, on July 18, 1916, the daughter of the late Guy and the late Emma Lee (Bradley) Fox. She served during WWII as a nurse in the US Navy at Pearl Harbor. She enjoyed sewing and spending time with her family. She leaves her daughter-in-law, Margaret Schwab of Athol; one grandson, Robert Schwab of Newton; and one granddaughter, Mary Claire Schwab of Hanover, NH. She was predeceased by her husband Robert Schwab; by her sons, Bradley Schwab and John Schwab; and by her sister Naomi Banghart. A memorial service will be held Thursday, April 3, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. in the Fiske Funeral Home, 1356 Main Street, Athol. Burial will in Stamford, CT. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made in her memory to Our Lady Immaculate Church, 192 School St., Athol, MA 01331.
