Nicola A. Stragliotto

LEOMINSTER - Nicola A. Stragliotto, 81 of Leominster, died Saturday, November 13, 2010 with his children at his side. He was born in Rosa, Italy, on August 24, 1929, the son of the late Romano and the late Maria (Caron) Stragliotto. He grew up in Rosano Veneto, Italy before immigrating to the USA at age 18, becoming a US citizen in 1961. He worked as a tool and die maker, employed by TRW in Westminster for many years. Nick loved life. He was happiest when doing things with his children & grandchildren, puttering around the house or helping someone in need. He leaves five daughters, Susan Viau of Leominster and her husband James, Teresa Stragliotto of Baldwinville, Ann Stragliotto of Leominster, Lisa Stragliotto and her spouse Ann Rocheleau of Ashburnham, Paula Dorow and her husband Ray II of Ashburnham; one son, Romano Stragliotto and his wife Huguette of Baldwinville; eight grandchildren Jason Viau and his wife Jennifer, Jennifer L. Viau and her husband Alexander Kasanof, Scott Sauvageau and his wife Amy, Lisa Sauvageau, Melanie Sauvageau, Nicholas Stragliotto, Sophia Dorow, Spencer Dorow; six great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews including his niece, Maria Campagnolo of Italy. He was predeceased by his wife, Priscilla (Ouellette) Stragliotto who died in 1971, and by a brother, Giovani (John) Stragliotto who died in 1989. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. at St. Anna's Church, 194 Lancaster St., Leominster, MA. Burial will follow at St. Leo's Cemetery, Leominster. There are no calling hours.
