KENNEBUNK - Norma Ann (Tolman) Harlow Cook, 80 of Kennebunk, Maine, died Monday, December 26, 2016 at her daughter’s home in, Barre, MA.
She was born in Barre, on July 18, 1936, the daughter of the late William and the late Gertrude (Cummings) Tolman.
Norma grew up in Barre and graduated from Barre High School. She graduated from the Saulter Secretarial School.
She was employed at Romar Tissue Mill as a private secretary and went on to work at Adells in Orange, MA as a private secretary. Recently she was a floral designer at Creighton & Sons in Portland, Maine.
Norma enjoyed reading, decorating, fine arts and collecting angels.
She leaves her husband of 29 years, Carroll N. Cook; three daughters, Sharon Porlier and her husband David of Erving, Judy Kelley and her partner Ed Wadleigh of Barre, Debra Robichaud and her husband Phillip of Barre; eight grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren; close niece Theresa Burnham and her husband David; a close great nephew, Doug Tolman and his wife Cindy and several nephews and nieces.
She was predeceased by her daughter, Doreen "Dody" Reil who passed in November of 2006.
Funeral services will be private. There are no calling hours.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made in her memory to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
